In earlier versions, punching a Monolith in Creative Mode would only speed up the teleportation process, without actually teleporting the player. The Monolith can then be moved to another Pocket Dimension, or released into the Overworld to be instantly despawned. Monoliths can be captured using Safari Nets from MineFactory Reloaded, meaning that the player can remove the Monoliths from any given dungeon with a Safari Net Launcher and good enough aim.Next version (1.19) adds Monolith spawner.Monoliths can be spawned with their black and white Spawn Egg in a Pocket Dimension, if you wish to make your own dungeon or quickly send yourself to Limbo.Monoliths will also disappear when spawned in any dimension other than Limbo or a Pocket Dimension. Upon having their head pushed into a solid block, Monoliths may disappear altogether. Explosions can also push Monoliths, but seem incapable of damaging them. Monoliths can be physically pushed, although this is unadvisable due to the risk of being teleported to Limbo. ![]() Monoliths seem incapable of using Dimensional Doors, and thus will not chase the player throughout their adventures. Attempting to hit a Monolith will simply speed up the teleportation process, likely landing the player in Limbo. Monoliths are immune to all forms of damage, though they possess 20 health (10 hearts) like players do. If the player meets a Monolith in Limbo, the Monolith will instead teleport the player to a random coordinate within the dimension with a sound reminiscent of an object tumbling through a large metal pipe. Upon seeing the player, the Monolith's eye will slowly open, playing a buzzing noise and generating Enderman particles around the player as a warning before teleporting them to Limbo shortly thereafter. ![]() While idle, Monoliths play a looped music track consisting of synthetic angelic choir. They will also spawn in large numbers in Limbo, where they may prevent or delay a player's escape, getting them hopelessly lost even if they do manage to find a patch of Ancient Fabric. Monoliths spawn occasionally as a part of Dimensional Door dungeons, serving as a trap or an anti-cheat for certain puzzles. In later versions, the black block is removed and they are only comprised of the animated red eye. In older versions, it resembles a large, black, door-shaped rectangle with an animated red eye at the center of one side. ![]() The Monolith is a mob found in some Dimensional Door dungeons.
